		By winning the Dutch TT, Valentino Rossi continued the successful start to his career aboard the Yamaha, creating more new records and milestones: At the Dutch TT Rossi became the first Yamaha rider since Eddie Lawson in 1986 to win three or more consecutive races in the premier-class of Grand prix racing.
		The Dutch TT was the 618th premier-class Grand Prix that has been staged in the 55-year history of World Championship racing, therefore Barros has appeared in 32.4% of all premier-class races.
		Valentino Rossi’s victory at the Dutch TT was his 37th win in the premier-class taking him equal to the total achieved by Mike Hailwood who won the 500cc title on four successive occasions during the 1960’s.

		The volunteers from Riders Holland did themselves proud during the Assen TT, raising a record 12,200 euros as temperatures soared at the Dutch circuit.
		The volunteers also did a roaring trade in merchandise, including TT posters kindly supplied by Willem Lute (the circuit's press officer) which sold like hot-cakes alongside the other memorabilia.
		Over 12,000 euros was raised during the weekend compared to 8,500 in 2004 - a new record for the TT and testament to the hard work and dedication of all the Dutch volunteers.

		Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, daughter of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, visited the paddock of the Dutch TT at Assen, Drenthe, yesterday (June 27th 2003) in her role as Patron of MotoGP’s official charity, Riders for Health.
		After arriving at Groningen Airport, where she was welcomed by Queen Beatrix’s representative in Groningen province, Mr Relus Ter Beek and Mr Jaap Timmer, the Princess was driven in a police-escorted motorcade to the Assen paddock.
		She was greeted by Mr Carmelo Ezpeleta, chief executive of Dorna Sports and Mr Jos Vaessen, president of the TT Board.
