  Dwellings
When you consider that the dwelling was constructed out of what was available at the time and influenced by the climate in which they live(d), the differences in dwellings can be many.
To remain in one spot is to dwell, and we use dwellings as residences.
The conical dwellings were made from a framework of tree poles bound together with vine stalks and covered with either brush, grass or tule.

Concurrent with the evolution and development of the country house of the nobility and the lesser landed gentry, the humbler dwellings of the tenant farmers and artisans continue to be built much on the lines of the evolved dwellings of the sixteenth century as discussed previously, except now these were built outside ringed fortifications.

A farm dwelling is a house or manufactured home located on a farm (or ranch) and occupied by a farmer - a person who is ´principally engaged´ in activities such as planting crops or raising livestock.
The key to distinguishing farm dwellings from other types lies in the phrase ´customarily provided.´ For example, a farm dwelling would not customarily be built on a dry five-acre parcel that provides just enough forage for one cow.
