Dylan Dog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dylan Dog is a comic book character created by Tiziano Sclavi for the Italian publishing house Sergio Bonelli Editore, or, in English, Bonelli Comics.
Dylan Dog, the penniless nightmare investigator, defies the whole preceding horror tradition with a vein of surrealism and an anti-bourgeois rhetoric.
Dylan is also particularly susceptible to motion sickness, which is one of the reasons why he rarely travels.

 uBC presents: Dylan Dog
If Dylan is a master's comic strip (with all the ambiguities of this definition),it is not because his tales are very nice, but because his inventor has marked his tales in a characteristic manner, and so these tales become immediately recognizable for style, thematic, rhythm, situations, characters.
Dylan Dog's unloading in newspaper kiosk strikes the public with the power of a maul: winning ambient, but Sclavi's screen-plays are almost like jewels.
The well to draw for the thematic of a comic strip like Dylan, is not undoubtedly without deep (in difference of other series like Zagor or Nathan Never, for example):too many situations (serial killer, deformed monsters, inversions good ones/bad ones, relationship life/ death/ not-life.) we have seen yet and they begin to stink of stale.

In 1994, Dylan Dog needed a period of holiday under the Mediterranean sun, away from the foggy London and from his beloved Craven Road.
Oh yes: Dylan in Spain had even less success than other Bonelli comics (see the relevant article), since the issues of the CO&CO publishing in Barcelona ended after ten numbers, published in a "big" format (21x29,7 cm), which reproduced the issues from 8 to 17 of the Italian series.
As in other cases, the responsibilities of this failure are due to the publishers (unsuitable format and marketing) and also to the readers (lack of a true interest for this genre).
