Dystopia began by learning covers from such thrash metal bands as Metallica and Megadeth, and from some various punk bands such as the Misfits and the Sex Pistols.
Dystopia then came to the conclusion that they were meant to be a one-guitarist-band.
Dystopia then knew what they had been missing for so long and now the lineup was complete and permanent.

 OFFICIAL ANTHEMON WEBSITE
Born in January 1997 as a duet, ANTHEMON turns into a “real” band only after the release of a demo CD titled “Nocturnal Contemplations” in October 1998, created with the assistance of a female singer who is not part of the band.
By mixing their vast panel of influences through a more progressive, darker, and increasingly personal music, the members of the band won the bet to describe the terrible world created in the lyrics, where freedom of men is nothing but an illusion.
“Dystopia” is mainly well seen by both the press and audience, even if the absence of female vocals and the difficulty of categorising the music leaves some old fans behind.

Because of the crowds of upstart bands, many of which draw heavily on Pennywise?s sound, the band faced a large task in its attempt to inject a fresh twist in its sound.
While the band?s sonic attack shifted gears slightly, adding more slower elements into it arrangements and a wider variety of beats than the standard bass/snare hardcore pattern, the biggest difference is between Pennywise?s fare and the often overly fussy and negative stance taken by the majority of hardcore acts.
