  Gasa Dzongkhag
Formally, Gasa was a dungkhag under Punakha dzongkhag and it was made a separate dzongkhag at the beginning of the 7 th plan in 1992.
It is bordered by Punakha Dzongkhag in the southeast, Thimphu in the southwest, Wandue in the east and the Tibetan region of China on the extreme north.

 Wangdue Phodrang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wangdue Phodrang (previously spelled Wangdi Phodrang) is a dzongkhag (district), of central Bhutan.
This is also the name of the dzong (built in 1638) which dominates the district, and the name of the small market town outside the gates of the dzong.
Wangdue Phodrang is bordered by Dagana and Tsirang dzongkhags to the south, Tongsa dzongkhag to the east, Thimphu and Punakha dzongkhag to the west, and Gasa dzongkhag and a small section of border with Tibet to the north.

The people’s representatives of Chirang (Tsirang) Dzongkhag requested the National Assembly to ban Christianity in Bhutan and the people already converted to be stopped from practising the religion.
He, therefore, recommended that the house should direct the Dzongkhag Yargye Tshokchungs (DYTs) to decide on the matter as per the Thrismshung Chenpo and the resolutions of the previous sessions of the National Assembly.
The Assembly resolved that copies of resolutions of the previous sessions of the National Assembly and the clauses of the Thrimshung pertaining to religion would be distributed to the chimis.

To draw and distribute Kurichu power in Mongar dzongkhag, the government was spending Nu 214.8 million, excluding Nu 86.4 million allocated to supply power to 828 households in the villages and towns of Mongar in the Eighth Plan.
"Mongar dzongkhag will be the first to receive power from Kurichhu," the director said, adding that the project had been started on the initiative of His Majesty the King to alleviate the kidus of the people in the eastern dzongkhags.
The director explained that the cost for bringing power to each household in the dzongkhag would come to Nu 100,000 while the power supply for the rural population will be heavily subsidised and the tariff will never repay the cost.
