		Ludwig Stephan, whose estate is one of the plaintiffs (we can disregard the others), opened a commodity futures trading account with defendant Refco (we can disregard the other defendants as well), lost his investment, and sued Refco, charging fraud in violation of the Commodity Exchange Act.
		But Stephan's contract with Refco provided that no suit arising out of the contract or out of transactions made under its authority could be brought "more than one year after the cause of action arose," and this deadline the plaintiff admits having missed.
		Stephan was not an impoverished or an unsophisticated investor, and the one-year limitations period was clearly set forth in the contract.

		Stephan insists that no Canadian is buying the product from his Lethbridge-based company, that all sales are done by Evince International, a U.S. distributor, and is therefore legal under Health Canada's guidelines.
		Stephan said government bureaucracy and red tape are keeping an effective treatment at least two to three years away from Health Canada approval and Canadian store shelves.

	The E Equational Theorem Prover
		E is a a purely equational theorem prover for full first-order logic.
		E's inference core is based on a modified version of the superposition calculus for equational clausal logic as described in [BG94].
		E also demands that each symbol is used only as a function symbol, a predicate, or a constant (SETHEO allows the same symbol to take on more than one role in different contexts, which is clearly the Wrong Thing).
