HA 730-E Minor aquifers in Texas text
In Texas, a minor aquifer is defined as one that supplies large quantities of water in small areas or small quantities of water in large areas.
Two additional minor aquifers mapped by the Texas Water Development Board are considered to be principal aquifers and are discussed in previous sections of this chapter.
Some freshwater and moderately saline water withdrawn from the minor aquifers, particularly in the western part of the State, is used almost exclusively for irrigation and livestock watering purposes and some is used in oilfield water-flooding operations and mining activities.

But music that is in D minor will have a different quality, because the notes in the minor scale follow a different pattern and so have different relationships with each other.
Minor scales sound different from major scales because they are based on a different pattern of intervals.
Major and minor scales are traditionally the basis for Western Music, but jazz theory also recognizes other scales, based on the medieval church modes, which are very useful for improvisation.

 Soloing using E phrygian
Phrygian is the third mode built from a major scale and E phrygian works well over the 3rd and 4th measure of this Metallica riff.
I personally like the key of E minor/G major for the first 2 measures and then change to the key of C major/A minor and use the E phrygian for the 3rd and 4th.
For a real change try treating the E5 as E major and play in the key of E or A. Because of Hammets solo and the use of the E minor arpeggio, it may take a minute for your ears to adjust to the major sound.

 E Pentatonic Minor - Help - Sevenstring.org
It means E is the root note...The main notes of the scale (root, third, fifth, and, to a lesser extent, seventh) will sound strongest over an E Minor or E Minor Seventh chord.
The way I think of it, E is 'home' and you categorise every note on the neck according to how it relates to that note (for me, that's 'chord tones' (extremely consonant), 'scale tones' (possibly less consonant, but mainly correct), and 'chromatic notes' (pretty dissonant)).
Perversely though, you might use the E Minor Pentatonic in a situation where you're not really in the key of E, but that's getting into fusion territory, and is something for another thread...

 E Minor Tunes - Concertina.net Discussion Forums
E minor uses the same notes as G Major.
E minor Irish tunes are generally (always??) actually in E dorian, with a C#, thus using the same notes as D major.
On tunes like those you mention it would be middle finger on the E, ring finger on the B. With your hand in that position, I think the notes of the pull D chord fall naturally under your ring (C-row D), little (G-row F#), and index (C-row A) fingers.

 Minor
The natural minor scale has the same tones as the major scale, but uses the sixth tone of the major scale as its tonic.
The melodic minor scale is the same as the natural minor with the exception that the sixth and seventh tones are raised by a semitone (half step) when the scale is ascending.
The harmonic minor is the same as the natural minor, except that the seventh tone is raised by a semitone (half step) both ascending and descending, e.g.:

The minor pentatonic scale can be considered a derivative of a minor scale based on the sixth degree (aeolian or natural minor for you modal guys and gals) of a major key with the 2nd and 6th omitted.
Most "heavy" rock tunes are often minor in nature (due to their bluesy origins), and in that case, require the application of minor pentatonic scales.
The notes given are at home from both a G major pentatonic point of view and an E minor pentatonic perspective.

The E Minor (1934) provides something like Hambourg's legato phrasing, but it too is swallowed up by harmonic detail and willful stretti.
The F Minor No. 14 (1933) is the second of Hambourg's recordings of this work, most often heard in its incarnation for the Hungarian Fantasia.

The Brahms E Minor (25-26 April 1957, stereo) achieves the fluid buoyancy we associate with Karajan more thoughtful temperament, although I wonder if Celibidache’s period influence in Berlin (1948-1953) might be present in the handling of cadences and the strong emphases on the pizzicati in the strings.
Fine pacing for the last two movements of the E Minor, reminding me how much sympathy Karajan had for Brahms, first revealed to me in his 1947 A German Requiem with Schwarzkopf and Hotter.

 Minor Scales
(The descending form of the melodic minor scale is the same as natural minor.) While there are many examples of this ascending /descending usage of the minor scale this is not universal by any means.
There are several examples of music where the "ascending form" of the melodic minor scale is used when the scale is descending.
In other words the melodic minor scale consists exclusively of whole steps and half steps (no 1.5 step intervals) and also creates a major chord at the V position in the scale.

The Minor Pentatonic Scale & Blues Improvisation The minor pentatonic scale is important for every guitarist to know.

A good next step would be trying to figure out how to play in the same scale (in the same key) all over the fret board, and learning to move between the notes quickly and in an interesting rhythm.

Concerto in E minor for Violin and Orchestra, WoO 15 of Felix Draeseke
There is minimal correspondence by Draeseke concerning his Violin Concerto in E minor, WoO 15, but that which is preserved in the Draeseke holdings of the Saxon State Library (Sächsische Landes- und Universitätsbibliothek [SLUB]), Dresden reveals that he regarded the concerto highly and held hopes for its success almost to the end of his career.
The same can be said for his treatment of the finale (Allegro con brio e vivace, 3/4) a rondo which re-introduces material from the preceding movements before a final virtuosic dash to the end.

Math-rock trio A Minor Forest formed in San Francisco in 1992, and comprised guitarist/vocalist Erik Hoversten, bassist John Trevor Benson and drummer Andee Connors.
Forging a noisy, melancholy sound closer in spirit to midwestern post-rock than the dominant punk aesthetic of the Bay Area, the band struggled to build a local following, and when an offer to record an LP finally arrived, it came courtesy of Chicago-based Thrill Jockey.
Recorded by Steve Albini, A Minor Forest's debut LP Flemish Altruism (Constituent Parts 1993-1996) earned strong critical notice, and after a series of singles and compilation tracks, the group issued Inindependence two years later.
