Where as E3 was the place where gaming news rained upon us in heavy showers of awesome, now you can expect a sprinkle of news from individual gaming companies.
Apparently Microsoft, Sony and EA are behind the push, and many companies plan to give E3 up to 5 million dollars for their losses.
It appears that the E3 party is over and the festival is going to start shriveling up like an old man’s nappy package.

On the topic of terrible and somewhat inappropriate jokes, Gamepro's website has officially revealed the new title for their upcoming "E3 follow-up" expo, to be held in association with IDG World Expo.
Shigeru Miyamoto disclosed to Japan's Nintendo Dream publication that instead of pushing the B button on the Wiimote for a sword swing in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the player will now control that movement with the motion of his or her arm.
Now that E3 as we know it seems to have come and gone, the people behind the Consumer Electronics Show (the Consumer Electronics Association) are looking into the possibility of picking up where the ESA left off.

However, the cost for companies to attend and promote their wares at E3 have apparently become too high for some, and several high-profile companies have been rumored to be pulling out of the show.
Couple that with the fact that E3 is not as important as it was in previous years and you have a bona fide reason to drop out.
E3 wont be as exciting for some if it's downsized considerably, and in turn Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony wont have large announcements...and all those hits on Gamespot's/IGN's (granted confusing) E3 coverage site will be considerably less, generating less revenue for media companies who thrive on the festivities of E3.

This is another great example of Flash and CSS layout integration: content-heavy pages rely mostly on HTML and CSS, and fun sections like Who We Are purposely uses a more motion-design approach to convey the lively and jovial culture of their company.
e3 also proves that colour is not your enemy -- their palette is a bright, wonderous joy to look at.

While E3 may be long gone, and E3Expo may have been on the horizon for a brief time, it appears that GamePro Expo will now be taking its place as the king of the American gaming shows.
Since E3 decided to call it quits as the bespoke conference and reorg into something a little more intimate, a number of alternatives are starting to crop up in its place.
This year's E3 isn't even over yet, and we already have some news to report about next year's show: Nintendo says that they're planning to unveil the N5, their follow-up to the Game Cube, at E3 2005.

Luckily for me, I walked into E3 as a guest of my friend David Lawrence, who was broadcasting a radio show from the GameSpy booth just outside the main convention floor.
There were some legitimate stories to track down this year: Sony was showing their PlayStation 3 console (though when they announced it would cost $600, interest rapidly declined), the first round of highly anticipated Xbox 360 games was set to debut, and Nintendo would let anyone who waited in line play with its Wii.
