With the vast difference in the economic structures of the countries not currently using the EC dollar, it would be interesting to see if the rate would go up or down.
Barbados' dollar is actually in better shape than that of the EC dollar.
Just to add, comparing the EC dollar to Trinidad or Jamaican dollar is like comparing apples to oranges because the EC dollar is not free floating therefore it cannot be used as a measure of the strength of these countries' economies.

You get a marginally better deal with $EC than $US, which are accepted everywhere, should you choose to take them as well or instead.
