  ECHL makes rules enforcement video available online
ECHL Vice President of Hockey Operations Rod Pasma traveled to the National Hockey League office in Toronto to develop the video, which is narrated by NHL Senior VP & Director of Officiating Stephen Walkom, for a new standard of officiating under the one-man referee system.
ECHL coaches watched the video at their annual meeting, and each coach received copies of the video with instructions to show and review it with their players during training camp.
The ECHL raised its average attendance for the third straight year in 2005-06 drawing 3,934,794 for 900 games which is an average of 4,372 per game, an increase of more than nine percent from 2004-05 and the largest per-game average since 1999-2000.

The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a professional ice hockey league based in Princeton, New Jersey with teams scattered across the United States and Canada, generally regarded as a tier below the American Hockey League.
All of the teams, except for the Greensboro Generals and the Roanoke Express, which were terminated by the ECHL, and the teams which have relocated, are considered to have suspended operations and the franchises placed for sale.
Also excepted are the Mississippi Sea Wolves and Texas Wildcatters, which were suspended by request from team ownership and the ECHL because of the impact of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.

Stockton had more than 17,600 and continues to lead the ECHL with 6,697 per game, which is an increase of 5.3 percent from last season when the Thunder led the league in their inaugural season and is the largest average attendance since 2000-01.
The ECHL is trying to raise attendance for the fourth year in a row for the first time ever after having its largest average since 1999-2000 in 2005-06 with 4,327 per game as 13 of 22 returning teams raised their attendance.

ECHL players declared an off-season strike yesterday, citing a lack of progress in negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement.
ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna was informed of the strike after the call but expects that a deal will be struck, and the season will open on time Oct. 17.
Landon said it's premature to say the scheduled opening of the season is in jeopardy, but he is concerned by what he called a "business-as-usual" attitude by some in the ECHL, the largest hockey league in North America with teams in 17 states, including in Wheeling, W.Va., which is associated with the Penguins.

Correct me if I'm wrong--but I've noticed that when a team wins in a shootout, the final score will still show the game as tied, but with a caption that states "San Diego win shootout 1-0" yet the final score will still show 3-3.
It could, but as long as the result is counted properly in the standings the "score" is merely cosmetic.
Although, the ECHL does report those outcomes the way you mention.
