Here is a picture of the new ECU taped to the rear seat and a picture of the orignal ECU with the shell off the connector.
Although the ECU was working perfectly when it was generating fixed duration pulses, when I made the duration of the injector pulses variable, strange glitches and invalid pulses where being generated.
ECU on where the back seat was and some exhaust pipe discolouration due, I think, to this rogue injector pulse.

The 530i factory manual lists the ECU pn to be 280-001-102 and that number matches the unit in the car.
It seems like there must be some discrete output transistor(s)in the ECU that sinks the injector current, and perhaps it heats up and can't sink the current.
I checked the 6 ohm current limiting resistors, the combo-relay, +12 volt supply to the injectors, the injector and ECU grounds, I ohmed the out ECU connector looking back to the engineand found all to be okay.

Thanks man info was very helpful i think i will get the EX ecu stock from the junk yard and see if it runns any different or better i should say cause i can get it fo like $25.00 just did not want to fry anything.

 SR20 Forum - JGY Turbo-ed SERs ECU question
I think JGY has a few ecu on his site under engine management or something like that.
I beleive JWT ecu's are around $550 plus a core if you don't send yous in.
JGY might have your ecu setup already in stock so you dont have to wait for JWT.
