  ELP
ELP incorporated elements of Classical music - the very genre which had originally inspired many contemporary hard rock groups - into their sound, all effortlessly achieved with an awesome level of sheer technical excellence.
ELP, who at a conservative estimate have sold more than 40 million albums since their inception, were the first Progressive Rock Group to pack out stadiums all over the world.
ELP's live performance at the Isle Of Wight Festival in August 1970, before hundreds of thousands of fans, catapulted the band into rock's stratosphere even before they had recorded their first album.

 ELP Projects
To accomplish this objective the ELP is filling the role of facilitating, consolidating, and coordinating educational and informational material that will enhance public understanding and appreciation of energy and how it affects society's economic wellbeing and quality of life.
The current projects and programs the ELP supports are an ongoing research effort at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) that is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
The ELP is developing various hands on models that demonstrate aspects of supply and demand balance (See Fungibility of Commodities), exploration risk and the value of information (See the Jellybean Game), and flow constraints from upstream raw energy production downstream to the consumer (under design at this time).

Toastyfrog.com: Compendium of Useless Information : Site - Emerson Lake And Palmer browse
ELP is apparently around today doing something or another, but between Greg Lake's deteriorating voice (cigarettes are bad, kids) and Keith Emerson's failing hands (abused through violent keyboard antics into RSI hell) it's pretty safe to say their salad days - brain salad or otherwise - are well and truly finished.
Nevertheless, this album chronicles ELP at what was probably their peak: their live chops and interplay were still solid, and they had enough original material that they didn't have to resort to Pictures at an Exhibition.
ELP returns, although you'd be hard-pressed to realize it from Lake's husky aging-smoker voice, a sadly far cry from the energetic baritone he possessed less than a decade prior.

 StereoTimes -- ELP Laser Turntable
The almost complete lack of serious playback harmonic distortion and the really flat and wide frequency response, free of resonance’s, from the ELP is a revelation, particularly with early stereo LPs that are minimally mic'ed and therefore capable of producing exceptionally vivid stage images especially when listened to with the acoustical stereo crosstalk cancelled.
ELP now has an elaborate 28 page website at, www.keyserve.net/elp, that includes specifications, an order form, testimonials, answers to questions, a history of the company (it used to be BSR) etc. While some of it is written in Japanese English, it is well worth a visit.
ELP used to sell its turntables through representatives in a variety of countries but now it is putting the emphasis on direct sales.
