  SD90MAC
SD90MAC is the most powerful modern locomotive from EMD, with its 6 axle C-C bogies and a new "H" diesel, making 6000 h.p., it leaves behind traditional EMD engine designs.
EMD tried to attract attention to it, making two demonstrators in 1998, but they didn't help, as the SD90MAC family ended production in 2000.
Now EMD is concentrating on the SD70 family, that are much more popular, and more importantly can compete with the GE hit, Dash 9-44CW and its AC4400CW brother.

cars - General Motors Electro-Motive Division
EMD can lay claim to being the company that ended the dominion of the steam locomotive on the world's railroads, by both producing high-quality, reliable locomotives, and just as importantly (maybe more so) knowing how to sell them.
In 1949, EMD opened a new plant in London, Ontario which was operated by subsidiary General Motors Diesel (GMD), producing existing EMD as well as unique GMD designs for the Canadian domestic and export markets.
The 1960s saw EMD consolidate their position as the dominant locomotive builder in the USA; new, high power locomotives, like the 3000 horsepower (2.2 MW) EMD SD40 and the 3600 horsepower (2.7 MW) EMD SD45 V20 were produced and proved highly successful.

There in the high desert country of Southern Colorado and on the test bed at EMD's LaGrange, Ill., plant, the H engine itself and the SD90MAC have come through with only the kind and number of glitches that might be expected in a locomotive with so many newly designed components and systems.

The hood section behind visible behind the radiators (for the dynamic brake equipment) confirm either an SD80MAC, SD90MAC or SD90MAC-H. This is also borne out by the extreme length of the locomotive, although it’s hard to judge in a game.
The beveled engine hood distinguishes the SD90MAC-H. The “NA-90D” appears to be an EMD SD90MAC-H, a 6000HP locomotive of which twenty-two were produced for Union Pacific between 1996 and 1999.
