LONDON, December 12th 2006: EMI Records today launches ‘tuneglue-audiomap,’ an extensive online music mapping mechanism which utilises relational data from Last.fm to make focused and accurate music recommendations to music fans.
Winbolt continues, "The cross-pollination of EMI Music UK’s portfolio of labels and non-EMI artists alike is designed to give consumers access to a wealth of new artists, drive traffic to EMI artist websites, and generate affiliate income from retail partners such as Amazon."
EMI Records is part of EMI Music UK and has a rich heritage of artists, from Iron Maiden and Kraftwerk, to Robbie Williams and Sigur Ros.

In November 1931 EMI opened the world's first purpose-built recording studio complex in North London at 3 Abbey Road, which remains to this day the centre of EMI's recording and post-production work.
EMI was in the forefront of the development of the British pop scene that reached its initial peak with The Beatles in the early 1960s, and subsequently produced many successful groups such as Pink Floyd, Queen, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden.
Today EMI is unrivalled both for the richness of its past heritage and for the strength of its current catalogue featuring many of the world's most successful pop and classical artists.
