Margaret has contributed to the strength and stability of EMW for many years, from her groundbreaking work as one of the Founders of EMW, to her continuing service as EMW Secretary from 1993-97, as VP in 2001, and finally her most recent work as 2002 EMW President.
An important matter for further consideration by the EMW board in the coming year is the possibility of starting an EMW journal, which has been under discussion this year by Jane Donawerth (representing the Center for Renaissance and Baroque Studies at the University of Maryland), and the EMW Executive Board.
EMW awards for the coming year will be drawn from publications in the year 2002 and will be based on nominations from authors, publishers, and others working in the field.

In the East German Formula 2 Championships in the early 1950s most of the cars racing were based on the BMW 328, although eventually complete new cars and indeed engines were built.
EMW was based in the East German town of Eisenach, close to the West German border.
The first cars built by the Eisenach Rennkollectiv were BMW-engined specials raced at the end of 1952 by Edgar Barth, who scored a debut win at the Sachsenring against a field of BMW specials, AFMs and Veritas-Meteors.

In this show a local artist or some foreign artist are invited to the show to talk about music and many more subjects, with obviously the taste of both native and foreign music.
