EXeem - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
eXeem was designed to replace the need for centralised trackers (servers which co-ordinate the transfer of metadata across a BitTorrent network).
It largely failed to achieve this goal, and the project was canceled and eXeem's network was shut down by the end of 2005.
Ads-free versions called eXeem Lite[1] and BIT eXeem were subsequently released, and eXeem later replaced Cydoor with WhenU from version 0.21 onward.

To head off this effort, p2p site Slyck reports Suprnova is working on Exeem, a new service that aims to decentralize Bit Torrent to some degree.
This new exeem client is guaranteed to have upload limiting.
Exeem's biggest hurdle (though it may already be overcome, for all I know) is verified content publication.

A new hope for BitTorrent? - Hardware - News - ZDNet Asia
Dubbed Exeem, the software has already been distributed in a closed beta, or early test format, by the creators of the SuprNova.org Web site, which was until late last month the most popular hub for the BitTorrent file-swapping community.
Official confirmation of the Exeem program, released at a time when BitTorrent Web sites are under aggressive legal attack from Hollywood, raises the potential of mass migration for the millions of people around the world who have grown accustomed to using the technology to download movies, TV shows, music and software.
Exeem is aimed at eliminating these easily targeted central points.

download exeem - the new peer-to-peer (p2p) program for downloading movies, music, applications and others based on ...
Compared to Suprnova, eXeem has the potential to make a far higher profit margin than a tracker website, and combined with the connection to Suprnova it is possible that many people will try this application, if only to see what all the fuss is about over this Suprnova “replacement”.
If your eXeem will not connect to the network, and you are using Sygate Firewall, you can turn it off until you see eXeem connect and than turn it back on (do this at your own risk), until the solution for this firewall is found.
There is a minimum 1 MB file pack limit, because we do not want eXeem's network to become filled with small documents, pictures, videos, etc. You can only publish a certain amount of files at the same time, because most users do not have enough bandwidth to upload many files to other users at once.

Users of the Exeem system will be able to rate files being swapped to help stop the spread of fake files, Sloncek told Novastream.

 Exeem, From Suprnova | MetaFilter
Information about users of eXeem™ and Exeem.com, such as the number of times they have viewed an ad (but not user name, address, or other personal information), is used to serve ads to users.
From what I've seen about eXeem it's only real purpose is to get rid of the need for a centralized tracker which is a weak point about the BitTorrent protocol if you're going to engage in copyright violation or publishing speech that others want to surpress.
But eXeem is a closed source application (their choice, I don't do religion about anything, or at least I try not to) that apparently embeds spyware.

I don't know how you got confused like that but for your information eXeem failed and has now closed its networks, stop developing the client and even put their domain for sale.
If you ask me it was a marketing trick, with some incomplete P2P program being called "the successor of suprnova" (I wonder how much the owner of nova got for that) filled with adware and spyware and finally closed like all tricks after they made some money.

After a few days of having a teaser on their site, Suprnova's Sloncek did an interview with NovaStream.org about a new P2P app and network called eXeem that will be released for download in a couple of weeks.
It's being developed by a new, unnamed company, which asked Sloncek to be a representative for them.
Apparently eXeem is based off of BitTorrent, but is different enough that it can't be called a BitTorrent client, and I assume it won't be compatible with BitTorrents either.

Called Exeem, the software aims to merge the speedy downloads of BitTorrent with the powerful global search capabilities of Kazaa or eDonkey.
The first public version of the program was released by a company called Swarm Systems but has been associated with SuprNova, a Web site that, until recently, drew millions of people seeking free content online through the popular BitTorrent software.
BitTorrent has been the focus of an aggressive legal attack by movie studio attorneys and their allies in recent weeks, leading to the disappearance of several of the most critical hubs for online file swapping around the world.
