  Eamonn Duggan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eamonn Duggan (1874- June 6, 1936) was an Irish lawyer, nationalist and politician.
Duggan was elected to the First Dáil Éireann for South Meath in 1918.
In October 1921 Duggan was appointed as one of the five envoys to negotiate and conclude a treaty with the British Commonwealth.

Close to 1,000 runners are expected to enter the third annual Eamonn Coghlan 5K Classic set for the Belmont Park Race Course in Elmont in the latter part of August.
Duggan feels that by shifting the race to a Sunday will increase the number of participants.
A number of years ago when Duggan asked Coghlan if he would be interested in lending his name for a 5K, the worldwide athlete was all for the idea.

When Éamon de Valera chose his plenipotentiaries to negotiate the Anglo-Irish Treaty between Ireland and Britain in 7 October 1921, along with Michael Collins, Arthur Griffith, Robert Barton, and Eamonn Duggan, Duffy was chosen due mainly to his legal expertise.
Duffy and Barton, who were cousins, protested against signing the Treaty and Duffy always felt that Lloyd George’s threat to return to "immediate and terrible war", a threat which convinced Collins and Griffith to sign, was complete bluff.

Rae was busy again at the Tattersalls sales yesterday, doing something unusual for him - buying colts.
Owner Eamonn Duggan was at Rae's side and signed for a Forzando full brother to multiple Group winning sprinter Easycall; and a big Nashwan full brother to Elhayq, a Group 2 winner in the States.
