Earl Christian Campbell (born March 29, 1955, Tyler, Texas) is a former American Football Running Back who is currently in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Campbell led the NFL in rushing in 1978, 1979, and 1980.
Campbell is one of only 2 players (QB Brett Favre is the other) to receive some form of the NFL Most Valuable Player award in 3 consecutive regular seasons, and he is the ONLY player to do so in his first three seasons as a pro (1978-79-80).
