I know Choker's band backed nearly all of the Motown Revue shows of the 60's and of course, Earl was the defacto leader of the Funk Bros. Maurice worked extensively in Motown's Artist Development dept. and he also did some tours with the Supremes and many others.
Since Berry Gordy was quite reluctant to allow the Funk Bros. to go on the road, due to their invaluable contributions in the studio, so who were some of the main sidemen in the Campbell and King road bands?
Also, both Choker and Earl recorded at least one album each for Motown, does anyone have a clue where I might find them, since the copies I once owned are long gone.
