Earlsdon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the mid-1800's Earlsdon was a hub of activity for the rising watch-making trade.
Even as this industry began to decline, Earlsdon continued to grow, and was incorporated into the city of Coventry in 1890.
In 1897 the opening of Albany Road allowed for far greater access to and from the rest of the city and development in Earlsdon quickly increased.

After several minutes the match was restarted and Earlsdon were awarded a penalty try when going for a pushover, the home pack collapsed the scrum as their scrum-half dived into the scrum to kill the ball.
Earlsdon continued to dominate territory and possession but a clever break from their scrum-half who collected his own neat chip after a good bounce gave the home side a further converted try for a 35-22 lead.
