  Eashoa Msheekhah, Jesus Christ
Eashoa' means, "the Life-Giver." Msheekha means, "the Anointed One." Eashoa' Msheekha: The Anointed Life-Giver.
They say why do you use the English designations when the true name of Jesus is "Eashoa" and Christ is "The Anointed One." Some of the people e-mailing me prefer the spelling "Yeshua." And there are some other variations, but none of these are accurate transliterations.
Eashoa' and Jesus are the very same name, albeit the transliterations are of two very different languages, with four thousand years of divergent evolution.

This further leads to the fallacy that the name of Eashoa is not mentioned in the Old Testament.
However, Eashoa' is the correct Ancient Aramaic-Hebrew name of the Lord as written in the Old Testament, and it means "Life-Giver" or "Savior."
This utterance by Eashoa' while on the Cross is fully retained in all the the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures, but its transliteration is in total error.

 IESU was written in Latin
But no matter what the original scribal language (Greek,Hebrew, or Aramaic) was, the first translation of the holy name should be very close to the original sound (These three languages had been used at the same time).
The reason that we use the name IESU is because it is written in Latin, and English borrows a fair number of words from Latin, and it is a phonetic form of the original Greek name Iesou.
The pronunciation of IESU is also close to Hebrew name Yeshua or Aramaic name Eashoa, except the ending light sound of "-a".

According to biblical history Eashoa' (Jesus) worked "miracles" including changing water to wine, walking on water, controlling the weather, and even raising the dead.
However, once again, depending upon ones point of view he was a myth, a very gifted Mystic, Prophet of God, Son of God, or God himself in human form.

Lastly, I see that you forgot to provide me with Jesus' name in Aramaic, from which you state that the "Hellenized form" (Iesous) comes from.
To verify whether or not I was correct in my Google search, I typed in "Eashoa'" to see what popped up, and sure enough, found these sites:
And, it occurs to me that Eashoa makes more etymological sense than Eesho anyway since there are vast more phonetical and alphabetical similarities between "Eashoa" and "Yehoshua" or "Yeshua'" than "Eesho." Plus, we must examine this evidence in light of the fact that Jesus' name was, at least, Yeshua, the Hebraic name for "Joshua." Yehoshua'/Yeshua/Eashua/Joshua.

 jesus in The AnswerBank: History
Firstly, the name Jesus Christ is an English translation of a name (actually a title) that was originally understood in Aramaic, translated to Greek then Latin, and rendered in English.
In the original Aramaic, a version of Hebrew, (simply put) the name is pronounced Eashoa Msheekhah, usually written as Yeshua ha'Masheia.
For English purposes, the name and title should more correctly appear as Jesus the Christ.
