		Easington primary care group was chosen as one of the twenty PCGs in England to take part in the first wave of the national primary care collaborative, which is now a part of the NHS Modernisation Agency.
		Easington primary care group is addressing the problem on two levels; first, by providing services for those people who are affected by disease and, secondly, by providing information and support for people at risk of serious disease to enable them to make informed choices about their lives.

	Weekly bin collections to remain in Easington
		District of Easington Council has today confirmed that it will be remaining with weekly refuse collections for the foreseeable future.

		It can certainly be argued that the building of Peterlee was at the expense of such nearby colliery villages as Thornley and Wheatley Hill where development was deliberately suppressed by the local council in favour of the new town.

		The HCR was fed by Hetton Lyons, Eppleton and Elemore pits.
		These were the first deep mines in the county of Durham and were the inspiration for all of the other deep collieries which came later in Easington District, including the three Seaham pits.
		The coal in the Rainton district is just below the surface and in all probability mining had gone on there for a millenium or two before that.

	Easington
		The centre, which is run by Leisure Connection, agreed to host the disco after months of discussions with Seaham Police and District of Easington Council.
		We are in Peterlee but we also cover the surrounding villages, and some of the children would not get home until 9.45pm.

		There have been fewer successful insurance claims against the Council, this been possible as the Council is now able to use tracker location data to successfully prove that their vehicles could not have been involved in accidents as claimed.
		Linking Easington’s Wardens’ radios to the Police system has increased response times for both the Wardens and the Police as calls are now forwarded to own areas of responsibility.
		At the time of the visit the new organisation was providing 4 full time and 2 part time posts, and was using 2 3.5 ton vans and 2 smaller vans which are all constantly in use.
