Easkey went ahead again when former player-manager Fintan Feeney, who was only on the pitch a minute, scored a point with nine minutes to go.

Camped at Easkey left several years back and will never forget settling down at night to the sound of a 2-3ft swell and waking to the roar of a 6-8ft monster swell on high-tide.
Easkey is great, except for the shits in the bathroom, they are always clogged.
I was up at Easky (Easkey?) during September and at about 3 o clock there was a small 2 foot swell, sort of clean and only one guy out on a longboard so I decided to join him on my longboard.

Easkey at 6 am is an early start in any ones book.
So as the day dawned we drive away from the famous Easkey Left hand break and headed north to the not famous at all Tullaghn, a beach break that was far from perfect.
That feeling was magnified when we drove back past Easkey on our way back to the Olympic Village the surf was green and clean and had been all day.

A crisis has developed in the Easkey area because there are only three double plots left in the local cemetery, writes Denis Daly.
Sligo County Council confirmed to the Western People that only three graves remain in the cemetery but said they were in negotiations with a local landowner who has land adjacent to the burial ground.

No further rain fell after the 8th but with a good stock of resident fish in the river, angling was steady all month.
Henry Selby-Smith had a 5½ lb fish on the fly in dead low water and Sue Howell had her first Easkey fish of 6½ lb.

And when their familey grew up to the age of manhood they settled around the neighbourhood of the town and vicinity of Easkey in that locality, on which their decendants and progeny resides, those that survived famine and pestilence.
He wasn't the greatest of spellers (you should see the family tombstone!) and the errors are his.

 Fourth Place for Irish Junior Surf Team at Euro Junior 2004
Easkey Britton, Donegal had a podium finish when she surfed well to take 3rd place in the U18 Girls with Pauline Ado, France first and Bethan Mason, Wales 2nd.
This was an excellent display by the two Sligomen and left the Irish team in a comfortable position at this early stage in the competition.
Not over by any means for these two excellent surfers but it means they have to pull out all the stops for their next challenge in the days to come.
