The East Allen Township Fire Department was formed in 1976 by a small group of township residents who saw a need for improved fire protection for this growing community.
Among this group were a former industrial firefighter and several members of neighboring fire departments who lived in East Allen Township.
While we are not a primary EMS provider we provide support to East Allen Ambulance Corps, and we often provide first aid and patient care if we arrive on the scene prior to EMS.

Ross Township, named in honor of James Ross, was laid off by the county commissioners in 1812, with thirty-six sections, but later the upper tier was taken to form part of Brush Creek, leaving it with an area of thirty square miles.
Townships elections were held at the residence of Henry Crab until 1850 and afterwards at school house No. 3.William Scott, the first justice of the peace, resided on Section 32.
While the Ohio canal system was of immense benefit in developing the sections of the state through which it passed it was of very little use to Jefferson County, which received practically no return for the many thousands of dollars of taxes paid by her citizens to build up rival communities.

Our motto, "Beast of the East" came just as easy and was derived from our location, our mascot, and the reputation of Mack fire apparatus.
Engine 3 was originally purchased by the Upper Allen Township Fire Company (Station 23) of Cumberland County, PA. The engine was delivered around December of 1972.

Bensalem Township, an area of 21 square miles, is the buffer township between Philadelphia on the West and the rest of Bucks County on the East and Northeast.
The Township was not incorporated within its boundaries; it consists of a group of communities, each with its own identity and community life, including churches, schools, fire companies and other community activities, joined together in one large municipal body called a township.
