	East Finchley tube station - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		East Finchley is a London Underground station in East Finchley in north London.
		Like the other stations that Holden designed for London Underground in the 1930s, East Finchley station was at the forefront of British architectual design and took inspiration from European architecture (particulary Dutch) that Holden had seen on trips to the continent during that decade.
		The station is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line, between Highgate and Finchley Central stations, and is in Travelcard Zone 3.

		Finchley Central tube station is a station in Finchley_Central on the Northern Line, It has three platforms, one of which goes to Mill Hill East tube station, another goes up towards High Barnet tube station, and one goes southbound towards Morden tube station.
		The station was originally part of the Great Northern Railway before it became part of the London Underground, and was then known as Finchley Church End.
		An unusual aspect of it's layout, with two entrances, yet one ticket hall means that it is one of those few stations on the London Underground that does not have fully gated access, yet it does have a line of ticket barriers which are never set to be closed.

	London My East Finchley
		We are looking to move to East Finchley for many of the reasons that have been expanded upon on this site - but I am concerned about what I have discovered so far about the schools - specifically primary - in the area.
		I can recommend east Finchley - very pleasant place to live, it's quiet (which I like) and there are some good restaurants and pubs.
		You are also in walking distance to Muswell Hill and Highgate Village, both lovely places, and there are woods, parks and Hampstead Heath within easy reach, but you are only four miles from the West End.

		We are about 10 minutes walking distance from East Finchley Tube Station.
		Please note that Church Lane cannot be accessed by car from the Great North Road as the road becomes a one-way street about 2/3rds of the way down when travelling from the direction of the East End Road.
		If you are driving to the centre, there is a very limited amount of on street parking available in the surrounding streets but there is a disabled bay in front of the bulding.
