 Useless and dangerous cycling 'facilities'.
The tiles fitted are very slippery to ride on, especially in the wet and the layout is made more dangerous by the many 90 degree turns included in the layout of the path.
In the interests of cyclists safety the East Riding of Yorkshire Council may not have re-laid the tiles but they have published a leaflet pointing out the 12 locations on this roundabout that cyclists using the cycle path must give way to motor vehicles...
This is adopted by the East Riding Council who maintain it for the benefit of a single farm in the middle of nowhere.

The East Riding of Yorkshire is a local government district with unitary authority status, and a ceremonial county of England.
Pocklington urban district abolished and added to Pocklington RD Both the administrative county and the historic Lieutenancy were abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, on 1 April 1974, with most of the riding going to form the northern part of Humberside.
The East Riding district was formed on 1 April 1996 from the former districts of East Yorkshire, Beverley and Holderness, along with the northern part of the Boothferry district, including the Goole area which forms part of the historic West Riding (attaching it to the districts of Selby or Doncaster were proposed but rejected).

Then I saw the same haunting picture on the cover of Riding the East Wind by Otohiko Kaga and I immediately grabbed it up.
