This is a list of the 646 constituencies currently represented in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom Parliament, as at the 2005 general election.

Today, constituencies in England are mostly subdivisions of administrative counties, with each constituency being comprised of a number of whole wards (for the purposes of the Boundary Commissions, unitary authorities, metropolitan boroughs and London boroughs are treated as separate administrative counties).

It is important, therefore that the UK leads in reducing emissions because if we do not, other countries that will now need to develop their own economies without recourse to heavy CO2 emissions are unlikely to agree to such a course of action.
The contribution of an overall 1.5% reduction in global CO2 emissions represented by the UK's target of a 60% reduction of CO2 emitted by 2050 is in itself not insignificant.

These constituents have, up until now, worked around the issue by purchasing a satellite dish for a one-off charge and obtaining a free-to-view (or Solus) card which enabled them to watch BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5 via satellite without having to pay a monthly subscription.
The BBC has however recently taken the decision that the production and distribution of the card is no longer cost-effective and they decided to unencrypt their signals at source instead, thereby allowing anyone with a satellite dish (not simply those with a Sky dish) to receive BBC signals and watch BBC channels.
I am aware that this meant that for a long while some of my constituents went without ITV and Channel 4 and 5 as those channels continued to encrypt their signals.
