 Eberron
Eberron combines a fantasy tone with pulp and dark adventure elements, and some non-traditional fantasy technologies such as trains and mechanical beings which are all powered by magic.
The setting is set on the world of Eberron, in a period after a vast destructive war on the continent of Khorvaire.
Other significant races and monsters to Eberron include goblinoids (goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears) who had an empire which once dominated Khorvaire, but after a period of decline now are reduced to a single country.

Every so often, one of the planes will stray close to Eberron (all of them are on an 'orbit', remiscent of the planets of our solar system around the sun) and in the area that is affected, certain spells may be extended or maximized for example, and others may be impeded.
Eberron is a radically different setting from those worlds, and the style of play is more anime-ish.
Eberron takes the traditional DND races and thru the use of 12 powerful houses (groups of individuals and families that control unique aspect of the world ie transportation, trade etc) puts more roleplaying into the game and less roll playing.

I may not run an Eberron campaign (I have at least three short campaigns in the hopper right now and I'm not ready to add a fourth at this time), but I'm certainly going to use parts of it in my other games and keep an eye on what WotC does with the new setting.
Domains: Eberron has the Artifice domain, which is very similar to the Craft domain from the FRCS (almost the same granted power, very similar spell list except Eberron doesn't have some of the unique FRCS spells...
Because "pulp adventure" is one of the themes of Eberron, you'd expect mysterious financial cartels, ancient religious sects, worshippers of evil from the dawn of time, and dusty scholars obsessed with old lore.

 VN Boards - Expansions that go beyond EBERRON? (like Underdark)
The whole world/universe is Eberron adn no matter where you go you find this cyberpunk/magic/flintstones kinda jazz, like enchanted wolverines turned into garbage disposals.
Eberron is one continent or dimension, and if you travel far enough you end up in the Forgotten Realms, or Dragon Lance.
Oh and I am not sure how much creative control they might have had when the movie was made but they should understand that anything with there name on it should be held in higher standards.

The closest thing that I can think of that was said about Eberron and video games is, when the first announcement was made, the press release stated that the campaign setting would be fully supported, and would include novel lines and video games set in Eberron.
Eberron is closer to Edgar Rice Burroughs meets The Shadow meets The Maltese Falcon meets H.P Lovecraft meets Tolkien.
Forgotten Realms is too high in magic for my taste, and Eberron is CRAZY when it comes to using magic for the mundane aspects of life.

Eberron is a finely-crafted fantasy milieu, with lots of evocative settings, races, and potential for mystery.
An Eberron concordance which gives you pointers to various pieces of information in the books would be very helpful, especially if it were on line so it would be updated as new material came out.
The rest of the Eberron materials are less useful (as many of the basic adventuring ideas are repeated) unless you are actually planning an Eberron or Eberron style campaign.

One of the things this book does that I love is it continues the Eberron mission statement of creating a world that incorporates all of the options presented in Dungeons and Dragons 3.5.
The Druid Sects in Eberron are really nifty because they give druids interesting reasons for existing instead of the tired “guardian of nature” deal you typically find in fantasy games.
The mechanics presented are strongly tied to Eberron, as are the prestige classes.
