Ebirah was one of several kaiju to return for Godzilla’s 50th Anniversary film in 2004, Godzilla: Final Wars.
Ebirah still had the old animalistic look from the 1960s with his pair of eyes on the ends of long optical stocks, one large and one smaller pincher, six crustacean-like legs, a long tail, and a great looking dark red carapace, but he now bared a striking resemblance to Legion from the Heisei Gamera series.
In GFW, Ebirah was portrayed by suit actor Toshihiro Ogura who portrayed the Sea Monster much like he was portrayed in the 1960s, with a waist-up costume worn by the suit actor during the attack on the factory and battle with the mutant soldiers.
