Ebon Hawk - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Ebon Hawk is also featured in the game's sequel, KotOR II, again as the main character's primary vessel for interstellar transportation.
The Ebon Hawk 's first recorded appearance was when Davik Kang, desiring the souped-up freighter's speed, stole it from its previous owner (again, somewhat like Lando Calrissian and the Millennium Falcon); he often claimed it was the best thing he ever stole due to the ease with which it could outrun patrols.
The Ebon Hawk is stolen from Davik Kang's estate on the planet Taris; after a fight with Davik, Carth Onasi, Bastila Shan, and the amnesiac Darth Revan cooperate with disgruntled Davik employee Canderous Ordo to steal the ship and gain access codes to break the Sith blockade of Taris.

The name Ebon Dooley came from a college nickname Tom Dooley, after a character in a popular Kingston Trio song ("Hand down your head Tom Dooley.") Hale changed the first part of that name to Ebon, a pioneering black South American pilot.
Ebon helped establish the Atlanta Center for Black Arts and was on the board of directors of the Southern Education Program formed to recruit black teachers from the North for local colleges.
Ebon graduated from Columbia Law School in 1967.

Xbox.com en-AU, games - Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords: First Encounter
As the game opens five years after the end of the first KOTOR title, you're injured and unconscious aboard a very familiar starship—the Ebon Hawk, back again and now the ride of your new character.
It most certainly does, and that's no mean feat for Obsidian, even if many of their designers also worked on some of the best-known PC RPG classics in history (Baldur's Gate and Fallout, to name just two).
How that happened—heck, how any of this happened, especially the apparent elimination of the Jedi Order—is not immediately clear, though the opening crawl reveals that whatever ending you achieved in the original game, the Sith ultimately destroyed the Jedi.

T3-M4 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After the Jedi Exile and the others escaped from Peragus II on the Ebon Hawk, they were forced to flee to Telos, where they were detained at Citadel Station.
T3-M4 was instrumental in getting the heavily damaged Ebon Hawk to the Peragus II mining facility after all other crew members were incapacitated.
An HK-50 assassin droid, which had tried to capture the Exile back on the Republic capital ship Harbinger, was also on board the Ebon Hawk, and was able to cripple the mining facility and kill its entire crew so that it could more easily recapture the Exile.

Unfortunately, the character-specific side quests seem to be unlocked only by having that character in your party a significant portion of the time; if you keep Carth on the Ebon Hawk for most of your journey, for instance, it seems like the game will be less likely to offer you his side quest later on.
Galaxy Side Quests, for lack of a better term, are quests that do not take place on any specific planet, but are driven either by your presence on the Ebon Hawk, or by your discussions with your party members as you gain experience and proceed along the main storyline.
To increase your chances of obtaining a character's side quest, speak to them after every time you gain a level.

The Ebon Hawk is also featured in the game's sequel, KotOR II, again as the main character's primary vessel for interstellar transportation.
It is most likely based off the Millennium Falcon, as it has a likeness in shape to the Falcon, and is armed with quad laser cannons - the Falcon's main choice of armaments; given the similar design, armaments, and duty (freighter-turned-smuggler), some have proposed that the Ebon Hawk is likewise a Corellian light freighter.

It's a role-playing game of extreme violence, cunning investigation, and corporate greed in the far future, with a simple game system, but the character creation and combat systems are very complex.
