The Ebony spleenwort (Asplenium platyneuron) is the most common (A continent (the third largest) in the western hemisphere connected to South America by the Isthmus of Panama) North American (Any of various chiefly rock-inhabiting ferns of the genus Asplenium) spleenwort.
It is a small plant with moderately dimorphic, simply-pinnate (Compound leaf of a fern or palm or cycad) fronds.
The Ebony spleenwort is sometimes grown as a terrarium or (A plot of ground where plants are cultivated) garden plant.
