Sonic the Comic, known to its many readers as STC, was a UK childrens comic published by Fleetway Editions (the merged companies Fleetway and London Editions, which progressively became integrated with its parent company Egmont until it became known as Egmont Magazines) between 1993 and 2002.
This proves to be the means to his downfall as Sonic absorbs the positive energies of the Emeralds and transforms into Super Sonic and eventually defeats him, in the process ridding Chaos of his evil mindset.
He fights Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in a small pond in the Mystic Ruins but is defeated, His new powers include being able to shoot energy waves and turning into four balls that bounce toward the player.

Sonic The Hedgehog: The Movie Retro Junk
Sonic and his sidekicks are determined to thwart a plan that would turn their Land of the Sky into the equivalent of The Land of Darkness, which lurks beneath the surface (and is obviously the former planet Earth).
You kidding me benjamillion?!, more towards the oringal story of sonic the better, Satam was a downfall for the story...it just screwed everything up.
at least satam had a boatload of characters, while the original sonic hardly had any, and no, the characters during the sonic adventure era don't count.

Sonic the Comic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Knuckles the Echidna and his Floating Island soon made their debuts in the pages of the comic as Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was adapted, and the mysterious history of the ancient power objects, the Chaos Emeralds and their relation to Knuckles's lost race of Echidnas steadily began to unfold.
Using the dimension-hopping Omni-Viewer to freeze Super Sonic in time, Sonic was left with no way to return to Mobius and spent a brief period in the Special Zone, until Super Sonic freed himself, his escape triggering a planet-wide electromagnetic pulse that the Omni-Viewer shunted to Mobius, deactivating Robotnik's computer systems and robots worldwide.
In addition to Tails and Sonic, other members of the Freedom Fighters included Johnny Lightfoot and Porker Lewis, characters based upon the generic pig and rabbit spirtes freed from Badniks in the video games.

 Mecha Sonic's (Archie style) Name
Logically, Archie Comics would have followed this pre-established convention and referred to the roboticized hedgehog as simply "Sonic." This, obviously, is not the case, so I pose my question.
RoboSonic (suggested by one of those female echidnas on the list, I don't know which) Roboticized Sonic from Sonic #39 and Mecha Madness special: just Sonic (see the actual letter) All of the above can also be safely referred to as Mecha Sonic.
Part of that was an argument over whether "Mecha Sonic" rightfully refers to Metal Sonic or roboticized Sonic.

 Henry's Echidna Page
Knuckles the Echidna from the Sonic the Hedgehog videogame series
The echidnas were "adopted", which means that a patron donated money to sponsor their display and in exchange, they had a little bronze plaque attached to the cage with the donor's name.
Anyway, echidnas have something strange happening with their feet, so if you take hold of them, which looks difficult but isn't really - the spines are very thick and not prickly, and pull, nothing really happens.

List of minor characters in Sonic the Hedgehog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An alternate version of Metal Knuckles, known as "Mecha Knuckles" appeared in the Archie Comics series, when the Freedom Fighters were forced to Roboticize Knuckles the Echidna to combat a Roboticized version of Sonic.
Cheese the Chao is also in the newest television cartoon, Sonic X although he/she is notably larger than his/her video game self.
Unfortunately, Pachacamac and his army got to the shrine, and, though Tikal resisted, the warrior echidnas knocked her unconcious and the Chao were killed.

Comixfan Forums - SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #139 REVIEW
While strong in terms of getting the story across, the lack of dreadlocks on some echidnas at scattered parts of the story and Julie-Su’s changing cybernetic dreadlock were a little sloppy.
Similarly to #131, #139 is rather low on actual combat action as Karl Bollers uses most of the story to lay down background information for the rest of the “Return to Angel Island” storyline as well as explain more about the new status quo for Angel Island.
Considering how long it has taken to make that disclosure and that it is again being relegated to the background, I believe that “Mobius 25 Years Later” is being written for an audience that prefers regular life stories opposed to adventure stories.
