Eclipse-class Star Dreadnought - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki - A Wikia wiki
The Eclipse-class Star Dreadnought, also known as the Eclipse-class Star Destroyer or Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer, was a class of Imperial Star Dreadnought manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards and mainly used around six years after the Battle of Endor.
Eclipse took almost as long to construct as either of the Empire's Death Star battlemoons, and for most of her career, she served as an orbital battlestation at Byss.

Star Destroyer - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki - A Wikia wiki
Star Destroyer was a term used to describe a certain type of large capital ship used by the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire, the New Republic, the Imperial Remnant, and the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances.
Star Destroyers that bore the distinctive dagger-shape which came to be associated with the ship type, were in the service of the later Republic Navy, around the time of the Clone Wars.
While Star Destroyers were the heaviest combatants in many fleets composed of down-scaled cruisers and frigates, they performed an escort role when in the presence of larger warships such as the Empire's Executor-class or the battleships found in the Republic Navy.

The Eclipse was a new Super Star Destroyer that was a stunning 17.5 kilometers long: it was twice the size of the original Super Star Destroyer and over ten times the size of Imperial Star Destroyers.
Its main weapon was a superlaser weapon, although its power was only two-thirds that of the main weapon aboard the first Death Star - it was "merely" powerful enough to crack the crust of a planet rather than destroy it outright.
The Eclipse was stopped over Pinnaccle Moon when Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa Solo joined Force energied to engulf Emperor Palpatine in a wave of life energy.

The Eclipse Star Destroyer was only half-complete; large transports carried parts and personnel from one end to the other; robots attached new sheets of metal, layer by layer; men in vacuum suits attached bolts, making sure every piece was in proper order.
After that, he went to one of the tactical stations and saw the Star Destroyer's take on the fleet it was passing as he read the information it was taking in via sensors.

Star Destroyer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Star Destroyers are iconic vessels of the fictional universe of Star Wars.
However, the Imperial Star Destroyer had been slightly redesigned for "The Empire Strikes Back", and that variant is known as the Imperial-II, making the "A New Hope" vessels the Imperial-I. The "Super Star Destroyer" Executor was on its maiden voyage after the battle of Yavin and was present when stormtroopers landed their troops.
Star Destroyers have also featured prominently in many Star Wars computer games, primarily as targets to be destroyed by starfighters, as in the X-Wing computer game series.

Super Star Destroyers Sovereign and Eclispe
The first Eclipse, the prototype, was destroyed (just barely after being completed) over the moon Da Soocha V. The second ship, the Eclipse II, took far less time to build, and participated in several battles before it, too, was destroyed.
The Death Star's superlaser consisted of eight large superlasers which, when focused into a single beam, was able to destroy planets.
The Eclipse and Sovereign have only one of these eight lasers; though, thanks to recent breakthroughs in laser technology, this single laser has two-thirds the power of the Death Star's complete laser.

 Eclipse Class Star Destroyer
The Eclipse Prototype began construction shortly after the completion of the first Executor Class vessels, and was designed to be the Emperor's personal flagship.
However, as resources were diverted to more traditional ships (and projects such as the Imperial II Death Star), the construction of the Eclipse Prototype lagged behind and was eventually put on hold.
Not long after this event, a similar ship, the Eclipse II, was produced with the same purpose as its predecessor.

The main weapon aboard the ESSD is an axial superlaser too, a spine-mounted superlaser modeled on the main weapon of the Death Star itself.
The Death Star's prime weapon was composed of eight individual lasers that could focus together, generating enough power to destroy an entire planet.
By comparison, the Eclipse carries only a single laser, but recent focusing and generator advances make this ray much more powerful than the units used on the Death Star.

Perhaps you missed the various instances where “Super Star Destroyer” was revealed to be an entirely non-technical term applied to any vessel larger in size than a basic Imperial-I. Star Destroyers are broken down into specific classes identified by their specific class name.
It is also referred to as an “Eclipse Star Destroyer” in both, much as a Super-class was abbreviated to a Super Star Destroyer, an Imperial-class Star Destroyer abbreviated to Imperial Star Destroyer, Victory-class Star Destroyer abbreviated to Victory Star Destroyer, et al.
At least we know the size of Eclipse’s escorts, with a vessel in both the fore and background and a known canon length set for Eclipse at 17.5km (despite the 10-mile bit), which establishes multi-kilometer Star Destroyers either way.

 Immobiliser-class Interdictor Cruiser
During the Galactic Civil War, only a few hundred Interdictors were built, as they were more expensive than a regular Star Destroyer of comparable size, were less effective in battle, and their primary use was strategic.
Other vessels (typically Star Destroyers) would be contacted, and would blindly execute a micro-hyperspace jump straight into the Interdictor's gravity wells, yanking them out of hyperspace and near an enemy vessel.
Armed with similar weaponry to Imperial-class Star Destroyers, and carrying four squadrons of TIE fighters, a Dominator did not require additional support when performing patrol and customs duties.
