 The Journal of Design Research
Most ecodesign might be described as starting small and simple, building confidence from the bottom of the design procedures up to more complex projects and all design processes.
This is especially true for the discipline of ecodesign, which is ever strengthening its scientific and technical roots in striving for more precise and accurate environmental data, which may directly contradict the requirements of designers themselves.
The research illustrated that industrial designers have a specific ecodesign role to play within product development and that this is generally most significant towards the earlier, more strategic and innovative practices of ecodesign, generally having a high level of conceptual input and result in new product concepts.
