The drivers at the North Norwegian bus company Tromsbuss have had courses in EcoDriving, with the result that the company expects to save one million NOK (€ 140.000) a year.
Tromsbuss is the first bus company in Norway to have adopted the EcoDriving concept, which originated in Finland.
EcoDriving courses are also offered to private car drivers by members of the Norwegian Association of Authorised Driving Schools.

They were saying that the most cost effective methods to save oil in a hurry are to promote telecommuting and flexible work schedules, 'ecodriving', car-pooling, odd/even day driving bans, and in some cases, speed reduction policies.
Car pool and driving restrictions would shave at least a million barrels a day off of what we use now.
