And while a shooting massacre or high profile police case will make it into the media, and hopefully mainstream concern, most cases of violence against women obviously do not.
Because mainstream media chooses to play up more scandalous cases, it is up to those of us with a stronger connection to the grassroots to be the voice for the voiceless.
