The config is 2x4x2 and in terms of where to sit, I would bear in mind that restrooms are in the middle of the economy cabin and the rear of the economy cabin can be a little noisy due to the proximity of the galley.
I have recently travelled on the Washington and Chicago service out of Manchester and although I felt that the service, food and IFE were excellent I had a seat that had limited leg room due to the sizeable IFE box under the seat in front.
Would suggest you try to get a seat at the front end of the Economy cabin, and go for the window block of seats - nice Airbus planes they use are much quieter than the 747's and also better than BA's 777's.
