		ECOSY - Young European Socialist takes note of the recent communication from the European Commission on the strategy towards common principles of flexicurity and is ready to debate this proposal as well as to accompany the public debate in a constructive manner.
		ECOSY adopted its new position paper and a number of resolutions and declarations which will be available through this website soon.
		ECOSY president Giacomo Filibeck and ECOSY Secretary General Ania Skrzypek got reelected and Francisco André (JS Portugal), Brian Booth (MJS Belgium), Estelle Göger (MJS France), Nils Hindersmann (JUSOS Germany), Hristo Hristev (BSY Bulgaria), Marianne Muona (SDY Finland), Laila Naraghi (SSU Sweden) and Petroula Nteledimou (PASOK Youth Greece) got elected to be ECOSY Vice-President.

		ECOSY, or the European Community Organization of Socialist Youth, is an association of the youth and student organizations of European social democratic parties.
		ECOSY is the youth wing of the Party of European Socialists, and its membership roughly corresponds with that of IUSY, except that it covers that a more restricted geographical area.

		My own, admittedly limited, knowledge of the youth organisations of the social democratic parties leads me to believe that while there are many radical members in these groups and some are critical of the leaderships of their 'mother' parties, few if any make a sustained critique of social democracy i.e.
		As Cian Mentioned ECOSY is broad Church of youth sections of socialist and social democratic parties accross europe, encompassing centrist, centre left and hard left persuasions.
		ECOSY in terms of the left is about as broad as they come including many that are centrist in their politics.

		A conference on youth and unemployment was held on the eve of the opening session of the congress.
		The congress adjourned on Jan. 19 with a special farewell reception hosted by Strasbourg Mayor and ECOSY delegate Catherine Trottman.
