		The normally aspirated Ecotec is fine for the regular ION (puts the ION's power at the top of its class), but I'm referring to performance applications.
		With the ecotec 2.2 and the way the Ion is designed it allows for full power while AC is blasting, has a great powerband, is low maintenance, has the oil filter in a very easy to reach location, is highly supported, modifiable, and dependable.
		My point is I think the Ecotec makes a lot more usable power than the Mazda 4 cyl, even allowing for a weight difference in the 2 cars.
