		Eddie Santiago [[1]](born 18 August 1955) is a famous salsa singer from Puerto Rico.
		Santiago has had great success and has earned a number of gold and platinum records, along with numerous awards.
		In 2004, Eddie Santiago announced a return to commercial music, with his new CD, "Despues del Silencio" ("After the Silence is Over", a title that alludes to the long period since his previous CD was released).

		In November, 1986, Santiago started his career as a soloist and formed his own band, recording songs including: “Tú me quemas”, “Qué locura enamorarme de ti”, and “Lluvia”, and many others.
		The album reignited Santiago’s career in his homeland of Puerto Rico and was named one of the best recordings of 1999 by the National Foundation for Popular Culture.
