		Edenbridge is a band from Austria, specialising in symphonic metal, with minor neo-classical metal sounds in some songs.
		Edenbridge was formed in 1998 by guitarist and keyboardist Lanvall (Arne Stockhammer), bassist Kurt Bednarsky and vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher.
		Edenbridge quickly set to work, and entered the recording studio in 1999, and signed a recording deal with Massacre Records the very same year.

		Over a career that now spans three records, Edenbridge's music has always been very low on calories, but this is ridiculous.
		The melodies and structures are similar, but Lanvall, the Edenbridge guitarist who writes and produces everything the band does, has gone even softer this time.

		I LOVE Edenbridge and I don't think they are similar to Nightwish at all.
		Edenbridge's texts are very different from Nightwish's, the vocals are different (Tarja and Sabine have different voices), I find Edenbridge's music a bit lighter and more optimistic than Nightwish's and both bands are melodic in different ways (Nightwish doesn't use as much electronica as Edenbridge).
		Sure Edenbridge does use keybroads but that becomes something who hear less and less of by the time you get to there 3rd album.

		It is not entirely correct to pigeonhole this release as melodic metal given the diversity of songs in speed and atmosphere but the main string leading throughout the album is melody based and carries that typical Edenbridge stamp.
		Once again the songwriter and producer of Edenbridge, Lanvall, shines by not displaying his talents alone but mostly leaving the band in the foreground of the music, which is not too common amongst the guitar virtuosos around.
		I still think that Edenbridge have not reached their peak yet, and given some time and one or two more releases they might reach the "must have" bracket of releases.
