	EdenBridge Bio And band Members
		Edenbridge was founded as a studio-project by guitarist / keyboarder Lanvall, bassist Kurt Bednarsky and vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher.
		In 2003 Edenbridge is on European triple headliner tour together with Trail of Tears and Sirenia (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain).
		The band´s UK debut is happening in September with 1 show at the legendary Bloodstock festival in Derby.

	Town Band
		For over 100 years the sound of brass has filled the air over the Edenbridge area from the Edenbridge Town Band who were first documented when a joint concert was performed with the Edenbridge String Band in 1893.
		Today, the band flourishes with a total membership of around 45 musicians, whose ages start from 8 years old, right up to the oldest member who joined the band over 65 years ago.
		The Band was awarded a lottery grant in 1998 where we were able to replace the ancient instruments, many of which were between 20 and 30 years old.

		I have been an Edenbridge fan since Sunrise In Eden, watching the band grow from their Nightwishy beginning into their own entity, evolving their own distinct sound, all the way to the culminating triumph of Shine.
		Most Progressive /Symphonic bands reach a point where the effects and choirs and elaborate songwriting start to reach a level of diminishing returns, and I think that's happened here.
		Here and there, because they are Edenbridge, they do manage to conjure some excitement, but nothing even close to the transcendent moments on their last album.

	Edenbridge - The Grand Design
		The Grand Design is produced by Threshold's Karl Groom and I think his touches are evident and kicked the band in the tush a bit.
		Edenbridge will never be confused for a power band - don't ever expect Nightwish.
		I'm not sure the band will expand their fan base much with this release but it will definitely put a big grin on the face of their existing fans.

		Although my first impression of the CD was that the band is driving into a dead end street, repeated listening revealed that the album contains lots of interesting songs.

		There are a lot of idiots on this forum that think any band with a female singer is a Nightwish clone, but don't listen to them, because they're wrong.
		Edenbridge's texts are very different from Nightwish's, the vocals are different (Tarja and Sabine have different voices), I find Edenbridge's music a bit lighter and more optimistic than Nightwish's and both bands are melodic in different ways (Nightwish doesn't use as much electronica as Edenbridge).
		Sure Edenbridge does use keybroads but that becomes something who hear less and less of by the time you get to there 3rd album.

	PROGRESSIVE WORLD: THE PROGRESSIVE VOICE
		His discs were instrumental, but he managed to convey some sort of story with his warm and melodic style of playing, making them flow and tremendously atmospheric.
		This is not to take away from the rest of the band, as the drumming and bass playing are outstanding in their own rights.
		It’s one of those discs that really stand out on it’s own, without paying homage to any other band - Lanvall’s special brand of music is unique in itself, but mix it up with a metal / rock style and this band is onto something very special indeed.
