Edge is a multi-format computer and video game magazine published by Future Publishing in the United Kingdom.
The magazine is very strict in its scoring; it was several years before any game was given a ten-out-of-ten rating, and the scores it grants major games are often controversial.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Edge magazine referred to Majora's Mask as "...the oddest, darkest and saddest of all Zelda games".
Game Revolution wrote that it "takes a little longer to get into this Zelda", but also that "there are moments when the game really hits you with all its intricacies and mysteries, and that makes it all worthwhile".
Like other GameCube re-releases, the game is not a port in the traditional sense, but rather the ROM of the original game running on a software emulator; this has been proven by the ROM-dumping community, who have been able to extract N64-format ROMs from the disc that can even be booted on a Nintendo 64.

This type of genre specification, where beat 'em up is a superset which covers both fighting games and double dragon style games is only used by a very small minority of arcade collectors.
Many people (including myself, and Edge) often use the term beat 'em ups to apply to the entire fighting game genre.
British games magazines (such as Edge, CandVG and many others) use the term "beat 'em up" to refer to things like Street Fighter.

The magazine, which is highly regarded both in the games industry and by gamers, hasn't seen a change in 5 years, and this one is a total redesign.

Edge is a really good magazine and has lots of in depth information other magazines don't go into.

A game cannot be a good game if it is often drawn, and when one first invents a game one does not know how drawish it is going to be.
So, the game will end either with White forming a line, and winning, or Black forming a line in the center area, which is also a win for White.
The center is the focal point of the game, and there is not as much room for keeping your options open.

UK games magazine sales slump, transition period blamed // GamesIndustry.biz
Sales of UK games magazines declined in the six-month period from January 1st to June 30th 2005 according to the latest figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulations, with magazine chiefs at market-leader Future Publishing blaming the transition period between new console releases for the shortfall.
Unofficial single-format console magazines experienced widespread drops, many sinking into the lower 20,000s per month, although Future's PlayStation World and PSM 2 and Highbury's Play publication stood respectably apart from the others.
Another multi-format, Games Master, rose slightly year-on-year but was down in the six-month period to 55,388 - despite the dissolution of Computer and Video Games magazine at the turn of the year.
