The 7 July 2005 London bombings were a series of coordinated bomb blasts that struck London's public transport system during the morning rush hour.
Unfortunately the 7.40 train to London was cancelled that morning and a later train would have made it physically impossible to travel between the two stations in the time-frame alleged.
For most of the day, central London's public transport system was effectively crippled because of the complete closure of the underground system, the closure of the Zone 1 bus networks, and the evacuation of Russell Square.
