Edie and the Eggs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Edie and the Eggs were a punk/celebrity-exploitation band featuring Edith Massey, known for acting in several films by John Waters.
The band's name referred to Massey's character in Pink Flamingos who had an obsession with eating eggs and romanced an egg delivery man. Massey sometimes wore her bizarre leather costume from Female Trouble during gigs.
Edie and the Eggs included future The_Go-Gos drummer Gina Schock.

Edie sings about celebrities -- an inherently ridiculous, superficial subject matter -- because they are the only vehicle by which she can present her political/economic/psychosocial manifesto to a world tired of political/economic/psychosocial manifestos.
While Edie is a re-incarnation from the 1960's her music is futuristic, using stripped down electronic beats.
Edie is a convenient symbol, though, and a lot more entertaining than reading about the 1968 Paris Revolution.

That's Edie Falco's status in life these days: she's TV famous, her face is emblazoned across billboards on Times Square.
There are other female parts in The Sopranos, the HBO series that's made her name, that are showier: the terrifying matriarch Livia, played by the late Nancy Marchand, or the psychiatrist Dr Melfi, deftly played by Lorraine Bracco.
Edie Falco may be an accidental star in some ways, but no one doubts she has the talent to make it last.

The challenge is how to achieve the required levels of disinfection reliably and at a reasonable cost under the local conditions.
A significant proportion of sludge in Cairo will be treated by anaerobic digestion in the future, but unfortunately this will not remove all parasite eggs, particularly those of the worm Ascaris lumbricoides.
The recommendation of the study was to improve the management of the traditional air-drying system to maximise desiccation and exposure to solar radiation, as a simple and robust method of achieving satisfactory quality, provided the sludge is stored for an extended period.

Even though the eggs were laid on the same days in the two nests, the eggs in the second box hatched several days earlier, so this female started incubating sooner after the eggs were laid than the other female.
And actually, while eggs need to be kept warm at a certain temperature in order to develop, temps above a certain threshold will kill them--and birds have a high body temp, so sitting on eggs already warm from ambient heat could be bad for them--the adults know when the eggs need to be sat on.
It looks like the same male that was with the female that laid the four eggs, but also looks like the male that just built the nest (no eggs), yet he was on the fence flapping his wings and carrying on by the new house.

Later, when the Baltimore winters proved too much for her, she moved to Venice, California, where she opened another thrift store.
