Edinburgh South West is a constituency to be represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
It is based on the old constituency of Edinburgh Pentlands, but excludes some of the east of that constituency and includes a south western portion of Edinburgh Central.
The constituency covers the south western portion of the City of Edinburgh council area.

Strict regulations say MSPs’ constituency offices, which are paid for through parliamentary allowances, should not display prominent party political material because MSPs are elected to represent all their constituents, regardless of which party they voted for.
A Scottish Parliament spokesman said Mr Gray had put the signage up in good faith early in the parliament in accordance with advice from the authorities at that time.
