  Frank Hadden - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frank Hadden (born 14 June 1954) is the current coach of the Scotland national rugby union team.
While teaching at Guiseley School, he played rugby union for Headingley, occasionally playing in the 1st XV, when the incumbent fly half, Ian McGeechan (who later became coach of Scotland and the British Lions) was away on international playing duty.
In 1983, Hadden was appointed Head of PE and director of rugby at Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh, and, as the school's 1st XV became a dominant force in Scottish schools rugby, he acquired a name as a coach with promise.

The Edinburgh Gunners are one of three professional rugby union teams in Scotland, the Border Reivers and Glasgow Warriors being the other two.
Edinburgh Rugby were created to compete in the Heineken Cup as the SRU did not think that Scottish club sides could compete against the best teams from France and England.
Edinburgh's best achievement to date has been to make the final of the 2003/4 Celtic Cup and to make it out of the group stages of the 2003/4 Heineken Cup.

The Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) is the governing body of rugby union in Scotland.
The SRU owns Murrayfield Stadium, which is the main home ground of the Scottish national team, though in 2004 international rugby games were played at Hampden Park in Glasgow and McDiarmid Park in Perth, as part of the SRU's campaign to reach out to new audiences outside the traditional rugby areas.
Edinburgh merged with the Border Reivers to form a team to be known as Edinburgh Reivers.

A BID to bring one of the world's biggest rugby festivals to Edinburgh is to be mounted under plans to attract more festivals and events to the city.
The Golden Oldies Rugby Festival is one of a string of new sporting, cultural and business events being targeted by city leaders through £500,000 they have earmarked to help lure events to Edinburgh.
It is hoped the rugby festival, which sees teams of veteran players take part, will be brought to Edinburgh in 2008, when the city is also bidding to play host to the World Cross Country Championships.
