		The 2003 edition of the Guiness Book of World Records is definitely one for the internet-surfing age.

		There are genuine issue points on some jackets that determine the printing of the book but the biggest potential problem is when later state wrappers find their way onto first edition books.
		However things are often not so easy and a book can clearly state 'first edition' or 'first printed' without mention of another edition or date and still be a reprint.

		If you do this, you'll put a copy of the book on the shelf where it might be read, I'll get a royalty, and my sales-figures will go up (which means that I'll get a bigger advance on my next book and my publisher will be more likely to want to repeat the experiment).
		And he's also apparently been given permission by Tor to distribute the book on-line for free.

		Originally we sold this CD separately, but now it is only available bound into the printed versions of either Thinking in C++, 2nd edition or Thinking in Java, 2nd edition (the cost of the book including the CD is actually cheaper that the former cost of the CD alone).
		For me, it was an invaluable process because of all the comments, corrections and contributions I got for the book.

		I have included info on the first 1st printing for some of the older books that had a very limited 1st edition although not a true 1st edition if done by a different press in many cases the print runs were small enough to make them collectable.
		IT: Viking 1986 "First Published in 1986 by Viking Penguin Inc." No Numbers on CP $22.95 A 250 limited 1st edition was done in Germany it was published first but it was not authorized by SK a very controversial book also very elaborate this book will not sneak by the nose of any book dealer.
		With a BOMC edition there is NO true first edition.
