By contrast, Noriega demonstrated a deft lightness of touch in Novo, as a man with a memory disorder that makes him especially appealing to women because every time he has sex, it seems like the first time to him.
Noriega says that the film's executive producer, former journalist Melchor Miralles, received death threats when he was setting up the movie.
Noriega recently completed his first film in English, Che Guevara, in which he plays the title role for director Josh Evans, the son of Ali McGraw and Robert Evans.

Eduardo's been in 22 films altogether (all Spanish -- no crossovers to Hollywood yet), and if the three I've seen are typical of his work, then you can hardly go wrong choosing one at random.
Eduardo Noriega was born in Santander, Spain (the capital of Spain's Cantabria region) on August 1, 1973 (which makes him a mere four months older than I).
Eduardo was always interested in the arts, even as a child, and actually started out focusing on music as a potential path.

Handsome Spanish actor Eduardo Noriega has drawn praise for his work with such directors as Alejandro Amenábar and Guillermo del Toro, and his killer combination of good looks and solid acting skills has found him playing complex characters that are often simultaneously sympathetic, mysterious, and menacing.
Born the youngest of seven brothers in Santander, Cantabria, Spain, Noriega went on to study music harmony and choral singing at Santander University.
A surreal study in vanity and questionable reality, the film found Noriega stepping into the lead as a young playboy whose life is turned inside out after a disfiguring accident.

The 11th Hour Web Magazine - Video Reviews - Open Your Eyes
This Thanksgiving, I am quite thankful for Eduardo Noriega and Fele Martínez, the two Spanish hotties who star in Open Your Eyes (Abre los Ojos), a truly awesome film and one of my favorites.
It's hard to describe the plot, but basically what we have here is the story of César (Noriega), a handsome, wealthy, spoiled young man who spends his days hanging out with his much more ordinary pal Pelayo (Martínez) and his nights seducing his way through all the women in Madrid.
So I'm thankful that I even had the chance to see this movie, because it was only in the theater in my area for about a week and I could easily have missed it, and I'm thankful that it's now on video so I can rent (or buy it) at my leisure.

Open Your Eyes Movie Review by Anthony Leong
The story is told in flashback through the eyes of Cesar (Eduardo Noriega), a handsome but self-absorbed young man living in Madrid.
As the film's tortured hero, Eduardo Noriega does a superb job expressing the misery, anguish, rage, and bewilderment that his character experiences as he tries to come to grips with two diametrically-opposed versions of reality.
The other stunning performance of "Open Your Eyes" comes from Penelope Cruz, who is a joy to watch as she offers two differing versions of the same character yet still makes Sofia worthy of audience sympathy.
