It is part of the modern civil parish of Edvin Loach and Saltmarshe.
Edvin Loach is a historic exclave of Worcestershire (in the hundred of Doddingtree).

The police investigated and a few weeks later the Vicar and PCC secretary of Edvin Loach came and formally identified their bells.
At the time of their disappearance they were told that the bells were probably stolen to order or purely for the metal in which case they were likely to have been smashed and melted down.
Edvin Loach now have two of their bells back, and have planed a celebration for their return.

Ann Willis, a Trowbridge woman with knowledge of bells, photographed the two bells and put the pictures on a bell historians’ website, where they were recognised by David Bagley, a Gloucestershire bell expert who had photographed the Edvin Loach bells in the early 1990s and had retained the Malvern Gazette article about their disappearance.
The third bell, The Sanctus Bell and the smallest is still missing but Edvin Loach churchgoers are optimistic it may yet be found.

TWO antique church bells stolen from a Herefordshire village seven years ago have been discovered by an eagle-eyed campanologist in a Trowbridge estate agents.
Residents from the tiny village of Edvin Loach will be reunited with their bells on Thursday after a series of events led to their discovery.
A bell ringer from Trowbridge alerted Bradford on Avon expert Anne Willis to two historic bells adorning the Church Street offices of DK Residential estate agents.
